Recreation

We help municipalities get the most recreation for their dollar.

Clyde Recreation Center

With the inclusion of an innovative outdoor pool paid for by the Clyde family, patrons can enjoy four different bodies of water at the Clyde Recreation Center—everything from a thrilling slide, high and low dives, a children’s splash pool (with themed play features), a lazy river (with a bubble couch), a lap/competition pool, and an aerobics pool. In addition to the comprehensive aquatics suite, the 65,807-square-foot center also features multiple family change rooms, a full-sized gymnasium, a dance studio, a running track, multiple cardio areas, and a dedicated space for childcare.

The Hogan Advantage

Springville, Utah, inherits its name from the many springs in the area. For the Clyde Recreation Center it presented impressive construction challenges: The deep end of the main competition pool is 13 feet deep—eight feet below the water table. Hogan applied creative construction techniques to keep the pool from becoming a boat, floating up to ground water level.
